She Said Yes!

Well, Gordon and I met over the Internet at the end of 1996. I was back home in South Africa and he was in Charlotte, NC. We became wonderful friends and spoke with each other daily. As time went by we started to have more "romantic" feelings for each other but we were both dating other people at the time. Finally, by January 1998 we decided to "date" online! The next step was to meet in person. It seemed impossible that it would ever happen, but finally Gordon arrived in South Africa on May 13th 1998. It was very exciting and nerve-racking! We fell in love with each other all over again!

We spent a magical 3 weeks together, but saying good bye was the worst experience of my life. We had NO idea when we would see each other again. I had been planning to study in the states that fall, but it wasn't looking good. A miracle happened and 3 days before school started and I was on a flight to Arizona. Gordon came to visit me for my birthday, 24th Sept. It was the first time we had seen each other since our tearful goodbyes in South Africa. It was wonderful and on that day Gordon took me in his arms and asked me if I would grow old with him, my answer was a definite yes! We are now living together in AZ and planning our fall themed wedding in Charlotte NC on 10/01/2002.
